Julia Hales is the nurse practitioner and owner behind Southern Serenity. She sees every weight loss patient herself, which is why she can tell you what to expect at week two, what a plateau usually means, and when it is time to talk about hormones instead of just dose. You are not a chart number here.

Is this the same as Ozempic, Wegovy, Mounjaro, or Zepbound?
No. Those are brand name products. We prescribe compounded semaglutide and tirzepatide, which contain the same active ingredients and are prepared for your individual prescription by a licensed compounding pharmacy. Compounded medications are not reviewed or approved by the FDA. Julia will walk you through the difference at your first visit.
Do I need a consultation before I can start?
Your first visit is the consultation. There is no separate consult fee. If you are a good candidate and want to start that day, you can.
What does the monthly price actually include?
One month of medication at your current dose (four weekly injections), your visit with Julia, injection supplies and teaching, and enrollment in Weightloss WINS. Labs, hormone therapy, Lipo-B12 injections and peptides are available separately if we decide they would help.
How much weight will I lose?
It depends on the medication, your dose, and how your body responds. We track it together every month and adjust. We will not promise a number, and you should be cautious of anyone who does.
Can I switch from another provider or an online program?
Yes. Bring what you know about your current dose and we will pick up from there. Ask about our price match guarantee.
Can I do my visits virtually?
Yes. Your visits with Julia can happen at the clinic on Jenks Avenue or by video, whichever fits your life that month. Same provider, same price. When you book a virtual visit we will walk you through how you receive your medication.
Do you take insurance?
We do not bill insurance for weight loss. Pricing is self-pay. Ask us about paying with an HSA or FSA card.
